Play authentic Janggi — Korean chess — against your PLAYUS travel friends on a hanok alley bench at dusk, in a riverside pavilion and in a lantern-lit courtyard. White octagonal pieces carved with hanja, just like a real board: general, chariot, cannon, horse, elephant, guard and soldier move by the official rules, palace diagonals and cannon jumps included. Tap a piece and its moves light up — tap a target or simply drag it there. Checkmate the rival general, or lead on points when the moves run out (chariot 13 · cannon 7 · horse 5 · elephant 3 · guard 3 · soldier 2, with a 1.5-point bonus for Han). You start with handicap games where your rival plays without some pieces, rivals read deeper as you climb, and every city has mate-in-N puzzles, a city master boss and speed or move-limit stages. Announcers call check, block, mate and bikjang, a per-move clock keeps the tension up, and you can watch an ad to take back a move.

• Tap one of your pieces and its moves light up. Tap a target or drag the piece there.
• The board has 9 files × 10 ranks and pieces sit on the intersections. The general and guards stay in the palace; the cannon moves by jumping exactly one piece.
• Put the rival general in check with no escape — checkmate, you win! When the moves run out, the higher score wins (Han gets a 1.5-point bonus).
• If the generals face each other and nobody blocks, it is bikjang — the points decide.
• 30 seconds per move (45 in puzzles)! Run out and you lose.
• Puzzles: deliver checkmate within the given number of moves.
• Watch an ad to undo your last move and the reply.
